Like California Chrome in 2014, Mine That Bird seemed to come out of nowhere to win the Kentucky Derby in 2009, pulling off a stunning upset. The Georgia Horse Racing Coalition announces the Georgia premiere on Aug. 27 of “50 to 1,” a movie that celebrates the amazing horse that went off at 50-to-1 odds to win the Derby.
The exclusive private screening and reception at the Buckhead Theatre are a fundraiser for the Coalition, a group of leading business and civic leaders who are dedicated to bringing first-class horse racing to Georgia.
